Awesome! Can I apply by myself?

Sure! However, if you've got a guardian (e.g. being under the age of 18), your guardian(s) need to be involved in the interview process. As they are responsible for you (and probably be paying for it, and providing a ride to and from, and ... etc.), it's important that we all know what to expect from each other.

That said, if you are super-motivated to be here, I can be an excellent salesman. 😉

Should I apply to participate?

That depends. If you love to tear stuff apart .. that's great...

But, if you take the time to learn what the pieces are, and how and why they go back together the way they do, then you should probably apply. If you put something back together differently, and it functions (and you know why), then definitely apply.

If you are trying to learn a computer programming language, all on your own, then absolutely apply!

What are the rules?

I'd really hate long lists of rules. Here's the "official link" to them. Basically, they are just an overarching concept: RESPECT.

RESPECT for the gear, like putting stuff away when you're finished with it, and keeping stuff out that can spill.

RESPECT for the space, like keeping voices moderated, not banging on the walls and stomping on floors, and so on.

However, the most important example is RESPECT for each other: sharing equipment, working together, and helping each other out whenever possible, etc.
